Itinerary:

Day 1:

Our Tour guide would pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza, cutting across 220 Kilometers of the Western desert toward Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean Sea. The trip takes about 3 hours.

Upon arrival you would visit the Catacomb of Komel-Shokafa. These tombs were tunneled into the bedrock in  (2nd century A.D.) for a single wealthy family still practicing the ancient religion.

Next you would visit to the Pombay’s Pillar, which was built in 297 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The Pillar itself is a 9 meters / 29 feet in height and it is said that 22 people could lunch on the capital.

And the best food you could try in Alexandria is sea food. So Lunch would be taken on-route at a popular seafood restaurant (at your own expense).

Following lunch you will visit the fort and Citadel of Qaitbay (from outside only; without sightseeing Tickets), which was built around 1480 y the Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay. It is believed to rest on the site and to be built from the stones of the Alexandria famous lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

The day ends with a visit to the Library of Alexandria one of the most famous in the world before Check in your hotel in Alexandria.

Day 2:

After breakfast your tour guide would pick you up to start your day by visiting El Montazah Royal Gardens and palaces with a surface area of more than 370 acres. Abbas Helmi II established the Montazah complex as the summer resort of the royal family of Egypt at the end of the 20th century.

Proceed to visit the Roman Amphitheater. Constructed in the 4^th century AD. the Roman theater consists of 13 rows made out of white marble. It used to accommodate more than 600 spectators.

End the day tour by a visit to the National museum. it displays more than 1800 items from different eras: Pharaonic, Ptolemaic which flourished greatly in Alexandria, Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic.

Lunch would be served in one of the best sea food restaurant in Alexandria (at your own expenses) before drive back to Cairo.
